2nd Sneezy World Series of Poker!

It's time for the SECOND Sneezy World Series of Poker!  The Series is a full elimination Texas Holdem tournament.  The last one was held exactly 3 years ago and was a resounding success, fun was had by all.

Texas Hold'em is very easy to play, you can find directions on the net and you're welcome to hit the casino up and learn/practice before the tournament. I would like EVERYONE to join this tournament if possible. Think of it as a quest!

The tournament buy in this time is 1 million talens, which will get you a hundred 10k chips. The table seats 5 people, and you'll play in groups of 5 (if possible) until one person has all of the chips of every person that entered the tournament.

It can be difficult to get people together to play.  If you miss too many rounds you will be disqualified and your chips will be distributed to the remaining players.  Don't worry though - I am very lenient on this, and if you have any free time at all and want to enter, do it!  We'll find a time for you to play.

PRIZES:
The 1st place winner will keep all of the chips (1M talens * the number of entrants!) and receive a special customized 2nd World Poker Champion ring and a commemorative 2nd World Poker Champion gold plated playing card deck (value 1M).

The 2nd place entrant will receive 2M in chips (your entry fee back + 1M) and receive a special customized 2nd World Poker Series Runner-up ring.

The 3rd place entrant will receive 1M in chips (your entry fee back) and receive a special customized 2nd World Poker Series Runner-up ring.

Every entrant will receive an extra large commemorative drinking skin filled with the house champagne.

Enter THE TOURNAMENT
To enter the tournament, contact me online and give me 1M talens and you will be entered. As soon as I have enough people, I will announce a date for the first round of play. You may join the tournament at any time (prior to someone winning of course), but the sooner you join, the more level the playing field.

Also, please post to this thread if you are entering the tournament, perhaps that will generate more interest.

FINANCING
I realize that 1 million talens is quite steep, so I have taken some special steps to provide financing for our less wealthy players.  I will post full details of several financing options in a follow-up message in this thread.

FINANCING

First, the top 3 players (Hanse, Micelli and Shandon) in the previous tournament are hereby officially invited to participate in this tournament with free entry.

Second, Brightmoon and Logrus have both agreed to finance one player each for the tournament.  Post here if you would be considered as a player for either one - note that your cash winnings, if you have any, will go back to the Kingdom, but you will keep your prizes.

Third, Fitz has generously offered to sponsor up to FIVE players, and possibly more on an individual basis.  Contact Fitz for details - I am unsure of what his arrangements are, but please keep all State and Federal laws in mind when working out the details.

Fourth, there will be a Hi-Lo pre-tournament, the winner of which will receive free entry into the poker tournament.  I will post the details of the pre-tournament in a follow-up message in this thread.

Fifth, there will be an all out gladiator style duel to the death, the winner of which will receive free entry into the poker tournament.  I will post the details of the death duel in a follow-up message in this thread.

HI-LO PRE-TOURNAMENT

The Hi-Lo pre-tournament will begin immediately and will conclude on August 31st.

Each entrant will have a one shot chance at playing hi-lo and may quit whenever they desire, but they must play AT LEAST ten hands.  The player with the highest score at the conclusion of the tournament is the winner.  I personally will not divulge any scores until then, although you are welcome to do so among yourselves.

To put it more simply; you play Hi-Lo until you feel like you've won a good amount of money, and then quit.  The amount of money you have won is your score in the tournament.  You get to walk away with whatever you have.

The entry fee is 100k talens, which gets you ten 10k chips.  You may enter with a lesser amount of money, as long as it is a multiple of 10k, but of course your chances of winning are reduced.

DUEL TO THE DEATH

There will be an all out REAL DEATH duel, the winner (or rather, survivor) of which will receive free entry into the poker tournament.  The duel will be a straight up brawl in an arena, all potions, weapons, spells and so on allowed, and everyone will fight at the same time.

You are allowed to work together if you choose, but only one person will be leaving the arena alive - and that person will be entered into the poker tournament.

Post in this thread if you would like to enter the duel to the death.  The time of the duel will be arranged with the entrants at a later date.

Please note, again, that this is a REAL DEATH duel, which means exp loss, equipment damage and all of that fun stuff.
