Is it just me or is that skill completely useless?  I think I mentioned it before but I think it needs its own topic..

I think it should be moved to afflictions.. or wrath..

It should be really high on the disc learning.. like 80% or something, and do damage + disease to the mob.  Just an idea.

Actually, being a bug man by profession, there aren't man bugs that cause disease.  Mosquitos, fleas and ticks are the biggest exceptions.  Locusts wouldn't cause disease.  I don't think they're  poisonous in any way. but it would be more accurate that disease.

Oooh OOoh OOoh I know! ...how about plague of termites?  Eats all the logs and bows and arrows you're carrying, and anything else made of wood (birch wood bracelet, necklace, etc).    Heh.

I think I need to register a new name or something, so I get paid attention to.

This is such a cheesy skill.  It should probably be eliminated.  I think Sebastian has watched 'The Mummy' a few too many times.  I don't think locusts swarm and devour humans down to the bone.  I can see it now.  We can have clerics casting plague outside of town and destroying the fields.  Oh my, the poor citizens of Grimhaven will slowly starve as their food supply dwindles to nothing.

This is probably the best idea that you've had yet.

Last time I had a high level cleric (was a lil while ago granted) Plague of locusts worked fine.

It created a mob called locusts that stuck around for the fight. You got no experience for the mobs hits unless you grouped it after it appeared and started to follow you though...

I think you may of had to start the fight with the spell also...

So this has been broken for over 8 Years?!  -- Why not just disable it like all the other spells that dont work.. or remove it.

Ok.. so I casted it at the begining of the fight and created a script to auto group it.

plague of locusts           Current:  (very good)

Code:
You beseech Mezan, the father for aid.
Your symbol glows with power!
You hear a loud humming sound as a swarm of locusts decends from above.
A gigantic swarm of locusts starts following you.
After following you, the swarm descends on a rock gnome attacking with all the vengeance of Mezan, the father!

H:354 P:68.3 V:141 T:300916 E:2,967,134,025  <rock=excellent> <1.8> >
A gigantic swarm of locusts circles the area once and then dissipates.
A gigantic swarm of locusts stops following you.

As you can see it doesn't work.

skill points actually have a benefit for your character or is it more of a bragging rights type of thing?

at least we don't have to wonder what you're doing when you're on most of the time now.  Have you upgraded to scripts or are you doing it the old fashioned way?
