The banks should have Rent-em' gear. 100k per 24 RL hrs for a 100dmg weapon sounds good. 500k+ for a proc'd piece would make major revenue. Gear would be monogrammed to the customer and dissolve after the allotted time.

- would keep massive amounts of money flowing daily
- raises chances of rare eq being sold in shops
- encourages game play and overall fun-ness

Food shops can be an asset of the bank. Disabling "create" food (with the exception of Feast and Forage) skills would have people buy from the food shops. One could take a fresh kill to a butcher for conversion as well.

As a trial, i'd make it only available to 45+ as they'd most likely have the solo or group savvy to enter the targeted zones for such a steep investment.

The aim is not to hoard loads (since the rates are supposedly restored), but to plow enough for it to trickle back into the shops and keep players spending.

Maybe to add a little spice...

The eq is mono-ed and just disappears after 1 day or something - so you have to go back and re-invest?
Also, maybe a spell up mob who sells a limited number of special buffs but cost a lot - like 1 hour of plasma mirror for 250k?

I like the spell-buff mob idea... although I'm not too fond of the 1 hour thing... should make it regular duration... but have several mobs that only do a couple spells each... probably drop down to like 50-100k for the good stuff 10-50k for the more basic stuff(maybe have extra long duration).
